Nijigasaki’s last stage has a date.

Nijigasaki fans, the last stage is getting closer. Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club’s final film opens in Japanese cinemas on February 5, 2027. The official project site confirmed the date on October 16 and released a new teaser. This is the third and final part of the concluding film trilogy. The date belongs to the Japanese theatrical release; it is not a confirmed international cinema or streaming date.

Where this film fits

If you are catching up, start with the first TV season, then Season 2, followed by the NEXT SKY OVA. The film trilogy comes after those: Part 1 opened in 2024, Part 2 in 2025, and the final chapter now has its February 2027 date. This is a continuation of Nijigasaki’s story, rather than a new starting point. The official introduction says the last film brings the girls back to Tokyo after their activities in Okinawa and the Kyoto–Osaka–Kobe area, with the School Idol GPX reaching its final round.

The official staff list names Tomoyuki Kawamura as director, Jin Tanaka as screenwriter and Sunrise as animation studio. The familiar club remains at the centre: twelve school idols and Yu Takasaki, whose support has grown alongside their performances. If the teaser sends you straight back to your favourite character’s first song, you are probably not alone. Who has been your number one since day one? Keep plot spoilers out of the comments so people still catching up can join in.
