Madoka × Witch on the Holy Night: the official collaboration visual is here
SHAFT and ufotable bring Madoka and Aoko together in a new official visual. Here are the Japan cinema campaign, poster draw and places to see the artwork.
BySören Creutzburg
Madoka and Aoko sharing a poster was not on our bingo card. The official Witch on the Holy Night account unveiled a special collaboration visual by ufotable and SHAFT on October 14. The campaign brings together Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising and Witch on the Holy Night, with a dedicated Aniplex page connecting the two films.
The Japan cinema campaign
The collaboration includes a draw for 100 posters. Entry requires proof of a paid Madoka screening in Japan and a Witch on the Holy Night Mubichike advance ticket. Eligible Madoka screenings run from October 14 to November 6; applications run from October 14 to November 9. Check the official campaign page below for its deadlines, required ticket details and full conditions before entering.
Want to see the artwork in person? A large collaboration banner will be displayed at Shinjuku Wald 9 from October 17 to 29. B5 flyers are also scheduled there from 10:00 on October 17, and at Machi★Asobi in Tokushima from 10:00 on October 17 and 18. Flyer distribution ends when supplies run out.
Meet Aoko
If the poster has you curious about Aoko, Witch on the Holy Night follows a high-school student who is also an apprentice magician, living with Alice Kuonji. The ufotable film adapts the TYPE-MOON visual novel and opens in Japanese cinemas on November 20. Open the Kaidomi title card below for the synopsis and cast. Which half of this poster are you claiming?
