The ending you do not immediately skip? Magic Knight Rayearth has released its creditless ending, set to Kawaguchi Yurina’s “Hoshiakari” (星灯). It trades the battle energy for a night by the sea with Hikaru, Umi and Fuu. Watch the official 90-second video below.

“Hoshiakari” is the new ending theme, and its digital single is out on 15 October in Japan. The seaside imagery and softer pace give Hikaru, Umi and Fuu a moment to breathe. If you usually reach for the next-episode button, give this one its full 90 seconds.

Three songs, three roles: Toaka’s “Otome no Tsurugi” (乙女の剣) is the opening; Kawaguchi Yurina’s “Hoshiakari” is the ending; Naomi Tamura’s “Yuzurenai Negai,” the opening from the 1994 anime, returns as an insert song in episode 1. Which one is staying in your playlist?
