JoJo watch order: start with Phantom Blood
Start JoJo with the 2012 TV series. Here is how Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency fit together, which part comes next, and how to find the right title without spoilers.

Seen a JoJo clip and wondered where to begin? Start with episode 1 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the 2012 TV series. Its opening story is Phantom Blood. You do not need a diagram of every Joestar before pressing play: the first episode introduces Jonathan Joestar and Dio, and gives their rivalry room to begin.
Two parts, one first season
The first TV season runs for 26 episodes. Phantom Blood occupies episodes 1–9; Battle Tendency follows in episodes 10–26. You can keep watching the same series when the part changes. There is no separate film to find between them. If you want a small first target, make it those opening nine episodes rather than the entire franchise.
Follow the part names
After Battle Tendency, the next main story is Stardust Crusaders. The official anime portal groups the series in this order: Phantom Blood → Battle Tendency → Stardust Crusaders → Diamond Is Unbreakable → Golden Wind → Stone Ocean → Steel Ball Run. Use those names to navigate the main series, then check the current listing for the part you want to watch.
The useful distinction is “part” versus “season”. Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency are two parts inside the first TV season; the portal calls Stardust Crusaders the second season. When a streaming menu uses a different label, compare its part title with this order. That is less confusing than choosing a poster because it contains the character from the clip that brought you here.
Choose the 2012 TV entry
A title search can also turn up older JoJo adaptations. For this route, choose JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (TV), dated 2012, with 26 episodes. The older entries are not homework for starting here. We recommend the TV series as the straightforward first-watch route because it begins with Phantom Blood and carries straight into Battle Tendency. Save comparisons between adaptations for later if they interest you.
Open the title card above and check the series name, year and episode count. Use its Watch tab to look for your next episode and the platform options shown for that title. Streaming catalogues vary by region, so confirm the actual service listing before subscribing. Already watching? Keep this title page as the sauce when someone asks which JoJo your clip comes from.
Sources, without the plot spoilers
The [official JoJo anime index](https://jojo-portal.com/en/anime/) supplies the part and season order. The production team’s [Production Note Vol. 3](https://jojo-portal.com/special/production-note/en/03/) confirms the 26-episode first season and the nine-episode Phantom Blood adaptation. Both are primary sources. The anime index includes later-story summaries, so stop at its headings if you want to stay unspoiled.
