The walls are finally on our side. Attack on Titan’s official account shared a 30-second cinema comparison on October 14: a standard screen above, SCREENX below. Watch what happens around the main image when the action spreads onto the side walls.

The film is Attack on Titan Part I: Crimson Bow and Arrow, the 2014 compilation covering the first 13 episodes. This is a new cinema presentation of an existing film, rather than a new season or a sequel.

Japan’s special-format screenings begin Friday, October 23, 2026. The official film site lists SCREENX, 4DX and ULTRA 4DX. It also says this release will not have regular 2D screenings. The standard-screen footage in the comparison is there to show the difference.

Planning to go? Open the theatre list on the official film website and check the cinema, format and local showtimes. These dates describe the Japanese release; an overseas screening would need its own local announcement.

The comparison is a quick way to judge whether the wider view adds something for you. Would you pick SCREENX’s side-wall action or a 4DX seat? Open the film’s Kaidomi card below for its synopsis, cast and connected Attack on Titan releases.
