Duncan Gutteridge

Duncan Gutteridge is an independent illustrator who worked for Sega in the early 1990’s Producing a range of illustrations for Sonic the Hedgehog game covers and promotions. Duncan was commissioned at a time when Sega Europe wanted to create it’s own style for Sonic the Hedgehog which meant developing a new ‘harder edged’ style. Duncan’s game covers art includes ; The European box art for Sonic 3 The cover of Triple trouble In addition to this Duncan created a number of boxed console and game packs and two calendars(1993and1994) There were many other promotional items which included standees and other point of sale material . Duncan’s work has also been used in poster form in’Sonic the comic’ as well as the covers of various game play guides.
